There are so many things I find myself wishing I had time for. As I get older and realize that it’s only going to get more difficult to accomplish these things I want to do. I want to explore the world and find myself.
Disney has become a huge part of who I am over the last two years, but I want to explore what I can do beyond it. I never want to be in a position where I’m thinking:
“I wish that I’d done that”
While continuing to pursue my dreams at Disney, here are a few other things I would like to accomplish before I turn 25.
Live in California
This summer I was so incredibly lucky to work at Disneyland during the 60th Anniversary. I lived and worked in Anaheim, CA and got to do SO many incredible things and meet amazing people. The Disney College Program is a must for anyone who wants to do something incredible, not only for themselves but for their resume.
Some of my favorite things were working on the birthday of Disneyland, July 17th 2015, handing out cupcakes, and the trip that my friends and I took to Laguna Beach. My family also took a week long cross-country road trip from CA to FL.

2. Become Scuba Certified
The funny thing about this one is I’ve been Scuba Diving so many times in the past, but never took the time to get certified.
I’ve dived in Grand Cayman and Key West, multiple times. I hope that living in Florida will make it easier for me to get my certification!
3. Visit the “Before I Die” Wall in New Orleans
It was so amazing to see what other people had written on the wall. I couldn’t believe some of the things that they wrote on the wall as their ultimate life goal. It took me quite a while to decide what to write, but I finally decided on “live a life I’m proud of”. I think in the end that’s what’s most important.
4. Volunteer Abroad
International Student Volunteers trip to Thailand was by far the most incredible thing I’ve ever done. I stayed on a foundation in Chiang Rai, and worked with at risk children to teach them English.
Being in Thailand, and spending my time helping others brought me so much joy. It also helped direct my life and gave me a sense of wonder and appreciation for the world we live in.
5. Go Zip Lining
This is something I never thought I would be able to do. I was so scared, and at the time I was so out of shape I almost passed out hiking up the trail, but I did it! We zip lined and repelled at the top of a huge mountain in Thailand. Zip lining 300 feet in the air at the highest zip line in Thailand was a breathtaking experience. The guides were so nice and they even let me wear the cape to be “superwoman” as I flew over the jungle. I loved it so much I zip lined again in Ecuador. It wasn’t quite as high as the zip line in Thailand, but the adrenaline rush was still the same.
6. Stand on the Equator
I always wondered what it would be like to stand on the Equator, and this is something I had to add to my list. When I studied Spanish in Ecuador in 2014, I was able to go to Ciudad Mitad del Mundo in Pichincha. We were able to go to the monument from the original Middle of the Earth and the actual GPS calculated equator. It’s amazing how close they were able to get with 18th century technology.
7. Teach English Abroad
This has been something that I’ve always wanted to do, and I had the chance to accomplish this life long goal in 2013. I packed a (in hindsight, probably way to big) suitcase, borrowed $300 from my parents and flew 8,000 miles away to teach English on a foundation in Chaing Rai, Thailand.

8. Travel Solo
My first solo flight was half way across the world home from Thailand. After surviving that, I felt like I could do anything. I’ve never solo travelled, and this is something I want to do.
9. Attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
Growing up I went to Disney World all the time, but I couldn’t remember actually going to the Christmas party. I spent my night meeting rare characters, watching the incredible fireworks show and eating free hot cocoa and cookies. The night ended with snow down Main Street USA!
10. Graduate College
This one seems like a no-brainer, but I actually had an extended stay in college! I transfered twice and changed my major Junior year so I finally graduated this December 2015. This is my cheer photo from Senior Night. I couldn’t be more excited to be an International Business graduate!
11. Play Flight Roulette
Show up to an airport.
By the cheapest plane ticket.
Fly to a new place!
This sounds so exhilarating and I absolutely want to do this.
12. Attend Celebration of Harry Potter at Universal Studios
The Celebration of Harry Potter at Universal Studios is an absolute must for any Harry Potter fan. I was able to meet Evanna Lynch, aka Luna Lovegood! They also have a huge exhibit of nerdy Harry Potter things and plenty of photo ops. And of course the expansion of Diagon Alley with the Escape from Gringott’s ride that is so well done. You feel as though you are actually stepping into Diagon Alley while watching a dragon breathe fire atop Gringott’s. I’m going again in 2016, and I can’t wait to get my hands on another butter beer and eat at the Three Broomsticks again.
13. Attend EDC
It had been a dream of mine to go to EDC since I started in the EDM scene in 2011. I was living in Michigan at the time and no one even knew what EDM was where I was living! I was able to go to EDC in Orlando with my best friend two years later, and it was epic. I want to go to EDC Las Vegas and Tomorrowland. I loved making custom costumes for me and my best friend. I can’t even imagine what the experience at that huge of a rave would be.
14. Visit all 50 States
To travel to all 50 states by the age of 25 is quite a feat, and I’m hoping I can finish this journey with one epic summer road trip across the middle of the United States. I only have 15 states left! Anyone know something fun to do in Kansas?
15. Shop at the Mall of America
I love to shop, and this mall seems like the ultimate shopping experience.
16. Complete a Scrapbook
I’ve always wanted to make a nice scrapbook for my Thailand trip. I even have all the materials together to do it. I just need to print out photos.
17. Visit Japan
Japan has been my number one dream destination as long as I can remember. I want to finally go on a trip there and live my dream vacation! I would love to go during the Cherry Blossom Festival and visit all of the spots in Sailor Moon. I think this would have to be a fairly extended trip, maybe a year even to do what I really want to do.
18. Stay at a Bed and Breakfast
For as much as I’ve travelled, I’ve never stayed in a B&B. I think staying at a cute B&B would give a more authentic feeling to the travels, and it is something I absolutely want to try.
19. Go on a Cruise
The last cruise I was on was almost 7 years ago and the last Disney cruise I went on was in 2001. I think it’s time to start cruising again and I can’t think of a better company to cruise with.
20. Spontaneous Road Trip
I want to pack my bags and drive no where in particular with a few friends for a few days. Stay at an Air B&B and have crazy good stories to tell when we get back.
21. Find a Hobby I can do Forever
Recently I discovered I love to paint. I need a ton more practice, but the idea of painting always excites me, and I have tons of mediums to explore since I just started painting.
22. Read 100 books in a year
I love reading, but lately I’ve been having a difficult time making the time to read. I hit a slump with the Great Gatsby and my reading totals are going to take a huge hit this year. However I know that I can find at least 100 books I want to read so I am going to make time to read them.
23. Eat at Victoria and Albert’s
My mother helped me realize this lifelong dream May 2016. We were seated in the most elegant restaurant I’d ever been inside, and treated to a seven course dinner. The highlights of the meal were certainly the scallops that melted in my mouth and the cheese plate with cheeses I’d never even heard of before. This is definitely a special occasion restaurant, and maybe a once in a lifetime experience. The dinner lasted over 2 hours, and cost about $250 per person. I would highly recommend experiencing it at least once in your life.
24. Go skydiving
I am afraid of heights. Going on a ferris wheel scares me. So falling 18,000 feet through the sky must have stopped my heart right? Well friends, I jumped out of the sky and lived to tell the tale. I am so proud for conquering such an enormous fear, and doing something I never imagined myself doing.
25. Participate in a Color Run
Running in a Color Run is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time but never made the time to do. I think that the color run would be such a fun thing to start my marathon career with. It’s time to stop dreaming and start doing!
